Violation of human rights of prisoners in the penitentiary system

Abstract

The book Violación de los derechos humanos de los condenados en el sistema penitenciario is the reflection of the readings carried out by researchers and the intense national debate on the subject that the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights has persevered in its attempt to create and disseminate the best constitutional doctrine through the four works published in the series Justicia y Derechos Humanos (Justice and Human Rights). This work justifies the measures that are executed in practice and which, in turn, are supported by the doctrine, the International Human Rights Law and the latest theoretical and practical advances on these matters. Creating and disseminating the theory that supports the practice is not a simple exercise in rhetoric, but a genuine attempt to extend the debate to the rest of society.
